Smell the Roses! Expedia, Inc. Welcomes Travelocity to the Family

Travelocity is one of the most recognized travel brands in North America, serving more than 20 million travelers a month. After about 18 months of providing the technology platforms for Travelocity’s U.S. and Canadian websites, Expedia, Inc. officially welcomed Travelocity to the family in January 2015.

To mark the occasion, our CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, donned a gnome hat and joined Expedians outside our HQ building in Bellevue to provide an Expedia-style welcome to our newest team members. (Dara’s in the middle holding a Traveling Gnome, which now holds a place of honor in his office.)

Dara shared, “Adding Travelocity to our extensive brands strengthens our ability to continue to innovate and deliver the very best travel experiences to the widest set of travelers, all over the world.”

We’re very happy to welcome Travelocity and our favorite new friend, the Roaming Gnome, to the Expedia family!
